As the world of financial cryptography is a dynamically critical one, it becomes increasingly important to stay ahead of the curve. The annual conference is a grand affair and much looked forth to. The Financial Cryptography and Data Security conference, serves as a common platform where subject matter experts on financial cryptography get together. It allows them to meet and greet, network with others and share information about trends and new challenges. Workshops dealing with cryptocurrency, smart technologies, and relevant topics are conducted. Academicians get the opportunity to present papers, which those in the field share the practical realities. With facilities of food and accommodation provided for by the organization, the event is both an interesting and engaging one. Students compete for grants, while many organizations come forth to sponsor elements of the conference as well.

All activities and arrangements at the conference are overseen by the Chair, who is elected for a one year period. Other than the General Chair, the Board also appoints a Program Chair to oversee the various conferences. The international conference is also the time for the IFCA’s Annual General Meeting. This is presided over by the President or the Vice President. Various aspects are discussed and items are proposed before the Board. A quorum of members supporting the decision is imperative to move the matter forward.

Besides the annual conference on financial cryptography, IFCA also participates in other conferences from time to time. It chooses to either fully sponsor, or co-sponsor such workshops and conferences. Support in financial or non financial form may also be offered. The Board of Directors takes a decision on such events, and deeming on whether they fit the broader mission and vision statements, IFCA and its members can participate.
